Macbook with Windows XP, compatibility.

Thanks for the advice on my other thread, decided to go with a Macbook, non-pro version, I find it will be a good compromise between my everyday computer (don't need much power) and the recording the occasional track (will be mixed elsewhere with bigger monitor).

I intend to install both Mac OS and Win XP, but I'm only familiar with the latter. Does installing XP on a Mac mean that everything I do under XP will be compatible with this machine ? Or do all softwares I use have to be rewrited for that notebook ?
