What does a Mac use for music files to be burned to an Mp3?
Also what program on a Mac do you use to find what the file extensions are on a CD?
Thanks!

Mac normally burns CD in AIFF files but I'm not sure what you mean about mp3s.

about mp3s.
Wrong wording. I meant Converted to an Mp3.
What Im after is how do you take a Wave file from a CD and put it into a mac to change it to an Mp3 to upload.
While Im at it. How do you find out what kind of extensions are on a file on a Mac?
Thanks Jake about the Aiff files. I thought thats what they used but was unsure.

LOL! They're usually at the end of the file name after the dot.;)

If you want to know more about a file, highlight it by clicking once, then press command+I.

You can rip songs with iTunes, Toast or SoundApp.

Sometimes with .wav files you can simply change the file name from .wav to .AIFF, but not always. If it doesn't work just change it back. You won't hurt anything.;)

What M.Brane said.

I've had odd luck with .WAV files when using my Mac. Not so much the Mac but certain software I have doesn't seem to want to import WAV's.

I've had problems importing WAV's into Logic and Deck. No problems at all importing into Spark though.

One of my drum loop CDs can only be imported with Spark. I have to resave the file in Spark in order for Logic to recognize the file.

WAV's created on my PC, burned to cd, seem to work fine in any app on my Mac.

Your Kidding Me!! :D
The command+I is what I was looking for. I dont have a Mac myself but am trying to help someone out.
Thanks for the Info Brane and everyone else! :)
