I have installed the soundcard with no problems and recorded through it with no problems yet ever since installation when i turn on my computer i get the message in DOS saying "Floppy diskette seek failure - press F1 to continue" and so i press F1 everytime i turn on my computer, and sure it runs fine, but doing this everytime is beginning to annoy me. Is there anyway to stop this??

I think this is a simple one? Often got it myself back in the early days.
I'm not sure whether it could just be coincidental that Floppy is complaining at the same time you've installed your card?

BIOS>Disable floppy seek>save>reboot.

or

BIOS>BOOT ORDER>BOOT FROM HARDRIVE first.

or....make sure your floppy drive is running properly...maybe disconnect it and see what happens, after you try above?

Let us know if it helps!

In the bios, look for something along the lines of "boot sequence" Basically, it's the order in which your PC checks for boot files. If your Floppy drive is set in the number one position then before your PC will boot from the harddrive it will try to boot from your floppy drive, on some systems, this isn't a problem, it will merely move on to whatever is next on the list (cd rom, harddrive, etc) However, some systems will stall there to figure out what's going on.

If indeed your floppy is in the number one position, put your harddrive in the number one space on the boot list.

Maybe...

You can set your first boot device as hard drive "0" and the second and third boot devices as "None". That way it will boot faster because it doesn't need to search for the proper boot device.
