M-Audio Solaris Condenser

Since I seem to be buying stuff from M-audio and liking it (AudioBuddy, Firewire 410m and BX5 monitors) I was wondering if anyone has tried the Solaris yet.

Currently I use an SM57 for everything but I was starting to look at condensors. For uber cheap, I picked up an MXL v57M on ebay with shockmount for $50 (not here yet).

However, that's because I just wanted something quick and real cheap while I research better mics. I guess that's a funny statement since I have not even heard the MXL yet but I do understand the get what you pay for concept.

Haven't tried the M-Audio mic, but I do have a suggestion for the MXL. It's very sensitive, and easy to overload. It also can be sibilant on vocals. However, I recently discovered that I get pretty good results with it, if I back it off farther than I would normally with another mic. Got some nice acoustic guitar and vocal tracks by recording 18-24" away.
