M-Audio Revolution

This is Midiman's entry into gaming cards, like the SB Live! etc.

Nothing wrong with it, but doesn't offer much more than the SB.

What's 7.1? I don't listen to 5.1 let alone 7.1. Speaker manufactures must be in bliss.

Soundblaster wants to be m-Audio, and now m-Audio wants to be soundblaster.

...hehehe, that's why I put 'em both in my machine. ;)

Thanks, but is it worth the $100? For gaming and other non-recording stuff, I'd rather spend $30 for a soundblaster. BTW, I'm putting a system together for a friend who's not into recording. I was just curious about this card cause I stumbled upon it at newegg. Thanks for the response, dudes.

I think the SB would do just fine for your friend...that is unless he wants the M-audio.

This card is going to tarnish M-Audio's reputation as a serious pro audio company. I've bought four products from them in the past, and I already think less of them for this. It may be irrational, but it's true.

I didn't know M-Audio really had a reputation as a 'serious' pro audio company. Everything they sell is pretty much pro-sumer if you ask me.

Well, now they don't even seem like a "semi-serious" pro audio company.
