M-Audio Project Mix I/O

From this off-site thread:

"The Pre-Amps on this unit are in line with other M-Audio preamps. They are pretty straight up, if you ask me. They're not the worlds best sounding preamps, but they also aren't going to turn your sound into trash. Very much like those found on the 002."
 
Recommendation wise... I can't say I've used it ... but I plan on purchasing this one for myself soon...
 
Try to get hold of the copy of Sound on Sound with it on the front cover, either this month or last's (not sure if a new edition has come out already). There's an extensive review in there. Basically the conclusion was that it was superior in almost all respects to the Digi 002 which Avid have pitched it close to ... but as it stands you can only buy it at the trial price for a short period before they hike it up a lot and make it only available with Ableton Live for some reason (PT M-Powered would have made more sense).

Anyway it looks like a very good piece of kit with lots of i/o and useful control surface functions. They seemed happy with the mic pres too.

Funny you should mention that... I bought that issue Friday.. :)
