M-Audio Fast Track USB

Ok well I purchased the M-Audio Fast Track USB today and i can't figure out how to get this thing working. I installed the drivers and hooked up everything and plugged it all in, and nothing is working. Can someone please explain to me how to set everything to make this thing work? Thanks.

I don't know much about that unit, but I would suspect the problem is a routing issue within your software. What software are you using for recording? In your software, select the Fast Track as both the input and output device. Also check the M-Audio software mixer to make sure the volumes are set correctly.

One slap-yourself-on-the-forehead-stupid thing with some USB drivers on WinXP machines is that it sometines it makes a difference whether you have the USB machine plugged in when you boot the machine up. It can go either way. If you had it plugged in and running when it booted, try waiting until after it's fully booted before you plug the box into the USB port, and vice versa.
