M-Audio DUO problem???

When I hook up a mic to one of the channels the sound is panned to one side. How can I use just one mic in one channel and have sound coming through the left and right sides? Please help me out here, I'm going nuts.

you may have to do that in your software, set it to record a mono track instead of stereo.....this may or may not work depending on which software you use.......

no, not if you are only recording from one mic.......
