Yeah...Im suprised you remembered the picture I posted with Adam West, 7 years back...I hadnt thought of that for a long time...he was insane.

Unless you already have a soundcard with asio drivers and a line in, I hate to say it but the line 6 would be a better choice. If you already got a good card, then the dmp3 is fine I guess

The DMP3 is OK for what it does...I had one for a short time...then a month later I got my Yamaha MLA7 which did the clean thing better than the DMP3 and gave me 8 channels...I was lucky to get $100 for it when I sold it...and in a short time like me...you will have a $200 paperweight looking for an API or Neve clone like everyone else arround here.

Thanks Pipeline...somebody who contributes is a welcome change...there are too many trolls in here.

I`ve sold loads of Line6 UX1 and UX2`s.

I`ve also had em up and running doing demo`s.

and they do sound like a neve and even like an Api, specially if you hit it really heard with a hammer and the preceed to turn the hammer towards your own head and give it a good smack;)

Seriously the dumbest rave I`ve heard:D

My clients are all dead after recoridng with the line6:D

Hey Nakers give us a demo of the hammer thing:D

its not analog modeling so the prossess is all done with your computer...the converters are the strongest point in this technology...the rest is all digital...you dont get opamps inside the unit the gain is linear since the program that does the modeling also can make the waveform bigger.

No opamps eh? Hmmm, why do I have a hard time believing that? How about you open up the unit and post a picture?

Anyway, I am closing this thread because:

- OP is long gone.

- It has devolved into insults.

- Nobody seems to have the foggiest idea what a Yamaha AW16G is, or what gear would be appropriate to interface with it.

Darrin, feel free to recommend the Line 6 thing as an interface/whatever, but nearly every single post you've made lately is about the thing whether it is appropriate or not--for example, the ADAT thread the other day. Either start researching what the OP actually could use based on their question, or I will start removing your posts where they are totally inappropriate to an OP's need.

I hesitate to intervene on otherwise legitimate audio discussions, but you are forcing other members to enter nearly every thread you're on to truth-squad what you are saying to newbies. That is very unhelpful.
