M-audio Delta 1010lt help needed. Can I disable my mic pre's??

I want to use another mic preamp. I should probably disable my delta 1010's preamps so that 2 preamps don't work in series right?

But how do I disable it? Couldn't find much on manual. :confused:
 
Yeah, it's just the jumpers. Outside of taking the card out, it should only take about 1 min. If you have extra inputs though, you can save yourself the trouble and have extra pre's though.
 
I would just use the other channels and keep the pres available in case I needed them...unless you are looking at an 8 channel pre of some sort. You should have six additional line ins. you could also look into a pre with SPDIF outputs too. If necessary, the jumper settings on the card will take care of it. It's in the manual that came with the one I have.
 
Ah! I know the jumpers change levels but I didn't realize they can be used to disable the whole thing. Thanks guys.
