Hi all....just passing along some info for click/crackling problems. Found this on another board. This fixed my problem in CWP9 as well......
"hi, fellow musicians
I want to share some of my findings after weeks of frustration.
Maybe I am the only idiot who thought that on WinME, you have to install the 9x drivers for the audiophile. The manual didn't say anything about WinME, so I thought that was the right thing to do. *Plus*, if you search on midiman's website for the combination of 'delta audiophile 24/96' and 'Windows ME', you will be pointed to the 9x drivers. The result is that Sonar will use MME (old style) drivers and even in the wave profiler you will notice that it runs the 'old' 16bit wave mode.
I was getting these really bad clicks (and I made sure the signal wasn't clipping) after recording an audiotrack, but it was intermittent and nothing seemed to help. Zooming in on the audio clip revealed tiny spikes at regular intervals that cause audible distortion. I almost wanted to get my money back for the card, but in a desperate move, I installed the WDM drivers (from the midiman's driver cd). They installed fine and the distortion during recording was gone. Sonar now shows 'kernel streaming mode' for the wave profiler and my latency is 10ms.
Is this just a matter of old documentation and crappy website design? I mean, this can't be just luck. Just for a sanity check, I looked in some of the ini files in the WDM directory on the driver cd and indeed, Windows ME was mentioned in there - is that enough proof?
I am going to send an email to midiman techsupport to confirm. "
Hope this helps
