Hey I just got Cubase SE to go with my M-Audio 1814. The problem I am having is that under the VST connections window it doesnt show anything. I tried to add the busses manually but it only lets me add up to 4 mono busses when I should be able to add 8 inputs since thats what the 1814 has. Anyone know how to fix this issue so that I can track out my beats individually from my hardware?

Your interface should have a control panel somewhere on your computer where you can go to adjust buffer size, etc. I don't know for sure since I have never owned or used the unit you're talking about, but there might be a mixer on your control panel where you can activate different inputs for recording use. Check into that, it may be the issue. Good luck!

So it doesn't even show two inputs? If not, are you sure that Cubase is "seeing" your 1814 at all?

It does see the 1814 because under the VST Connections it says M-Audio 1814 Stereo Out. I don't have this problem at all when using pro tools.

This pic is for a different issue...when I dont even have any project loaded up the marker jumps all over the place and its acting like it sees a signal. The play and stop buttons keep flashing.

Sounds like you didn't install the SE 3 update:

http://steinberg.net/544_1.html

This update remedies the input/output port limitation to the first eight I/Os of the audio interface. Now, it is possible to access all ports of the interface and assign them to the four buses of Cubase SE 3.0.3.

Thanks alot. One more question. I do have a Presonus Digimax FS also connected to my M-Audio 1814 by adat. Is there any way to have the Cubase bus also see my ADAT inputs? Or is Cubase SE too limited for that?
