No. And there aren't any that do it for money either.

You might be able to if the song is stereo and only the voice is mono. Play around with the phase and the mono can cancel out.

I repeat.

Nothing short of having the original tracks and muting the vocals will give any kind of useable results. I've tried all the products and none of them work worth of fuck. What you get is a thin swirling chorusy pile of dogshit with quiet, yet still there, swamped in reverb vocals.

To use Blue Bear's example, it's like trying to seperate a cake back into eggs, flour, etc.

If you get drunk enough you might forget them. Works for me.

Someone posted a plugin way back.........
It was called the PFM plugin (Pure FN Magic) :D :D

It probably depends on what your standards are. If you want to sound good while recording, you probably won't find anything worthwhile.

However, if you just want to do karoke with Ashlee Simpson, you could probably find something cheap to free to fit the bill on Google.

You may find the midi for the song you want remove the vocals on the internet. but be warned you're looking for a virus infection if you search for midis. midi's are popular since they can be used for ring tones and molicious sites will lure you in.

Viruses imbedded in the midi files? Or what do you mean?

Crap, I loaded a bunch of internet midi files into Sonar on my non-internet computer.

Should I worry?

Did you run a virus scan on the files after the download on your internet comp? if not I would be doing it quick!

Um...MIDI files don't have viruses embedded in them. They aren't executable files, and unless the MIDI player you're using has some exploit or something, you should be fine. Just don't download anything called MyAwesomeSong.mid.exe and you'll be ok ;)

True, but you dont know whats comming down the pipe with the midi file. It doesent hurt to do a virus scan after a download, unless you have real time scanning I recommend it.

My 2 cents. ;)

I don't run a virus scanner and I've never, ever been infected on my seven or eight years on the internet. If you're not stupid, keep your browser configured properly and just use common sense.. you'll be fine.
