Hi,

What settings are necessary in the Lynx Mixer and Cubase 5 to record a Vst instrument in Cubase?
When the instrument is played there is no input signal in the transport field - only the output signal.
With the default Lynx mixer settings i can only record from the Analog input.

Many thanks:)

You've got me a little confused here. "record from the analogue input??"

You don't use any input for recording a VSTi track. You set the computer in cubase with the input and output connections - as in one of your images. So you set output to say the e22 output channels, perhaps 1 and 2, and the inputs to the e22 to record from external line or mic inputs - whatever hardware you have.

Only the output is relevant to VST instruments. You create a new track, an instrument one and then play it on your external midi keyboard or a midi track. As long as the instrument has it's output set to the e22 that's it. I cannot see anything in your screenshots that stands out as wrong. Perhaps you could talk us through how you are doing the recording. The meters appear to show signal - but you cannot hear it?
