Please critique.

This is a sketch I recently did at home consisting of classical guitar, fretless bass, and midi drums. I composed it in the late 80's and only remembered how to play it a couple months ago.

It needs a solo instrument I think, maybe sax. Whaddya think? The arrangement is fairly true to the 80's version but I'm already thinking of a more upbeat version with an expanded middle part.

What genre would you put it in? Jazz was the closest I could get at nowhereradio but I don't really consider it jazz.

Sounds really good man!! You have some talent a brewin' I would consider it Jazz

Sweet tunage...

I have no problem labeling it as jazzy, if not jazz. Very cool changes in there. I could imagine a piccolo of flute solo, is Ron Burgandy available? Tell me this wasn't recorded on tape, or was it???

Ahggg!

VSpaceBoy needs to give some advance warning!

As for the recording: done right into Cakewalk, Aark24 card, Spirit F1 board, AT4041 and CAD M179. Guitar is triple-tracked. I wanted a natural chorus effect but doubling didn't do it so I added a hint of a 3rd guitar track with my old Ibanez Chorus pedal.

Thanks for the comments!
