I recently test drove a Les Paul Jr. Lite. I took it off the wall because I liked the double cut. After about 15 minutes of noodling, I caught myself wanting the guitar.
I'm doing as much research as possible on the guitar, and I'm finding a lot of people mercilessly bashing the P-100 stack pick-ups. I guess I can't expect them to sound like authentic P-90s, but are they themselves so bad? Seemed to me they'd complement my strat and tele's. Those, however, are all offshore Fenders with pickups of questionable quality. I want my next guitar to have the good pick-ups when I buy it.
I know I should just trust my ears. Guess I just don't want to feel duped when I'm yanking them out of a month-old guitar. Any advice?
