Lowery Magic Genie 88

I just found a 1975 Lowery Magic Genie 88 Organ at a local thrift store for $80. It turns on and everything except for one key appears to work fine. It sounds beautiful, but is it worth the cost and labor to move it? Any info on this thing would be great. Thanks, -Dan

Value is in the hands of the beholder , if you think it's worth the $80 to buy it and a crate of beer for a few buddies and a truck to move then i'm sure it is.

Look at it this way , what else can you get for $80 thats better ? ;)

Value is a relative term :D

I would wait for something a little better to come along. In my experience with thriftstore shopping I've noticed that there is always another organ just around the corner. I bought a Hammond M3 for $45 a couple years ago:

And this Farfisa for $50:

Both have awesome classic tone and similar organs can be had with a little patience and effort. I'd stay away from that Magic Genie for $80. You can do much better for cheaper.

Well thank you for your advice. I got them to knock down the price to $55 so I got my band together at the thrift store and we moved it with a piano dolly and a truck. It works great and sounds wonderful in my studio. Thanks, -Dan
