Anyone have any experience with this?

www.DrumsForYou.com

Seems like a viable option to me,
For those who can't record their own drums,
Or don't want to deal with midi and samples.

You send them a scratch track of the song with a click track (no drums)
They write the drum line for the song,
Or they can play your drum part... If you send it to them...

And the best part is, IMO...
You know exactly what you're gonna get BEFORE you pay any money.

But like I said, does anyone have any experience with this at all?

get a trigger plugin like drumagog instead. then you can learn to mix and blend on your own.

Well... here's the thing... they send you all the drums separately...
So you do learn to mix...

I do agree that it would be more beneficial to do it yourself,
For the practice and all that jazz.

But for non-drummers... This could be a good option. No?

oh i see now. i was thinking you sent them a scratch DRUM track and they replayed it and recorded it better. so yeah, for someone without a drummer or knowledge of MIDI, sounds like a good idea. an expensive idea if you use it too long, but a good short term solution.

Yeah it would get expensive quickly...
But if you only have a couple songs that you need to finish up...

I was just wondering,
I saw an ad for this on another website so I thought I'd ask.

Also, just curious... how exactly does this Drumagog thing work???

I looked it up, if one were to record a live drum track, we'll say to stereo,
How exactly does it differentiate?

Drumagog can not replace things from a stereo file. You would have to have everything separated.

yeah you have to have each drum track recorded individually, but it basically works by automatically replacing the sounds with samples or blending the samples with the original recording.

I see... Well I downloaded the demo yesterday and played around a little...
I actually record "stereo" to two tracks
So I was able to get it to replace the kick pretty well.

So... now my question is...
How can I record the triggered notes to a midi track in Sonar?
