Yeah, so I know it isn't really a recording problem, but it's got to do with my computer. :o

Up until about 3 weeks ago, my headphone jack on my laptop (hp pavilion dv6) was working fine. I could plug in headphones/earbuds/speakers, and they would be nice and loud at around 40% of the computer volume. However, NOW when I use my headphones/earbuds/whatever I have to put the volume at 100% output, and it still isn't as loud as it used to be!

I need your help figuring out what happened. I don't recall changing anything recently...

I've done some trouble-shooting, and it's definitely not my listening devices, as anything that I try ends up quiet. I've looked at the laptop's volume "mixer" and everything is still at 100%. I've gone into control panel-->sound and that has all been good as well.

It's driving me crazy lately! Please help! Any advice/assistance would be awesome. :)

So....with all that has been said around here, by your friends, you are still using your built in sound card? Hhhhhhhhhhhhhh... dood? You are definitely Drumistic to me now. lol!

Do you also have your lappy on the internet receiving updates from microsoft? Try a Restore before the problem occurred. At least you will be able to find out if it was you, or something else that caused the problem.

And Dood, Get a friggen real interface would ya? I would buy one for you, just because of the cuteness of your avatar if I really believed you were.....wait, you were eight last week right? Or was that someone else with a baby face? Now your 20?

Hmmmmmmmm...................

Psshhhh I totally have an interface! :D Tascam us-1641!

But you can still buy me another if you like! :laughings:

I use my monitors at home, but when I'm on the go I use my earbuds, and encounter the dreaded problem lol. I'm getting updates regularly...I might try searching for new windows and hp ones tonight. Thanks for the suggestion, Jimmy!

And Armistice is the 8 year-old ;)

Ah yes, I sit corrected. Your avatar is much cuter than that ugly 8 year guys! Oh yeah, I remember the sexy reppy now. :D

I have problems with volume on my crappy lappy too. Winamp seems to have more output and better eq (if you can actually call it that) than the basic WMP. Maybe that could be an option for ya. I could never get to that optimum 'rock out' level before I used Winny.

-What the hell is up with me today ending everything wit a 'y'?

Jimmy

-See, I can't stoppy! :D
