1. The talking is cute.

2. I like the song much, very melodic, particularly the chorus.

3. The female voice is too strong over the male voice. Just a tweak on the fader will take care of that. Maybe also spread the balance a little bit so they are not quite sitting on each other.

4. Have you thought about being selective where both sing, instead of both singing all the time. If possible, this would add some variety in the song.

5. The female voice is ever so slightly off key in places. Depending on the software you use, I think it's so slight that it could be easily manually adjusted out.

Thank you for the feedback. It was pretty much the way I saw it too. She has a lovely voice but always slightly low. Artificial tweaking always confirms that. I have tried training her but she is more interested in her looks than her ability to sing but I still have hope.

It was a spontaneous effort that seemed to come out ok the first time. My voice was there to give her courage, rather than an active harmony. You can probably tell that from the comment in the intro.

I use Sonar X1 Producer. It has V-Vocal built in plus I have Auto-tune for whatever reason (I say that after using V-Vocal and finding it a better tool for the job without meaning to diminish AT in any way)

Thanks again Rick, I appreciate the feedback

The vocals are only a bit flat in the beginning - they seem to tighten up quite well later on.
The double vocals are fine - I would like to see if she can sing harmonies - you know get that "family" harmony touch.
I have Sonar 6 and find V-Vocal a good tool....
It's a great catchy tune. You two have the writing skills for sure. The spoken part would be good live too... The part that lacks for me is the drums. Not easy to find a drummer but this board has several so ask around. I found it lifted my songs in a better direction. Just personal experience....

Yep - the tone is identical in "Kiss Me" . It's like the Everly Bros or the Hansons - it's well matched. Your vocals are great so it's not a dig at all...hope it doesn't come off like that.... just wondered if she could harmonize. She has a nice voice both lead and harmony.

No, it didnt come off as a dig at all. I appreciate what you are saying. I just thought I would post an additional piece for comparison purposes. It took a while to get her to stop listening to the other voice and focus on the part she was singing but we got there

I am playing all the guitars... its hard handling all those guitars at once :D

Is that a 12 string in This Kiss?

Yes it's a 12-string acoustic. I preferred to record it with mics rather than direct

Actually I cheated, its two 12-string guitars... well, one 12-string guitar recorded twice

Nice - it sounds like great. We don't hear too many 12 strings anymore....
