Thank you all for your suggestions. I went back and re EQ'ed the bass guitar and kick drum. I also brought the acoustic guitar more forward in the mix and feathered the lead guitar part a little more too.

let me know if it's an improvement or not.
 
It's better when you post the remix in the original thread so we can compare what was commented on before. The kick and bass are still boomy, the kick is better but still not "there" yet.
 
MJB, sorry about that. Will do in the future. Anyway, here is mixdown # 3. Brought the kick drum way down and adjusted the main vocal a little more. Also I would like to delete some of my older attachments but I don't see a delete button. How do I do that?

The drums are really fake sounding.

I thought the mix could use a little stronger low end.

Little pitch issue at about :29.

I thought the guitars lacked a little fidelity. Not as crisp/clear as they could be.

The reverb makes it sound like a 60's Motown song. Might be what you want because the song has a 60's style to it. But it instantly dates the song.
