Hi,

I'm using a Digitech GNX 3000 guitar workstation as my audio interface with my Intel MacBook. So it's basically my soundcard and guitar pedal built in one.

The audio playback is all fine, as are the guitar sounds and effects etc, but as soon as I hit record or enable input monitoring, whether it's in Logic Pro or Audacity or anything, all I get is loud white noise. Even if I completely bypass the GNX so that there should be literally zero signal coming out of it, I still get noise coming out of my speaker when I hit record.

I've tried it in both USB ports on my mac, tried different USB cables, but it's no different. Oh, and I've been using this setup for years with no problems until now.

Any ideas?

Thx.

Ok I tested it on another computer and everything works absolutely fine, so there must be something wrong with my MacBook.

Can anyone help me?

If your getting a loud steady noise (white Noise),check to see if your white noise generator is on in Audacity.
Good Luck
Kenny

Nope, it's not that, it does the same thing in Logic too.
