Editing one wav is a piece of cake, but how do you all go about copying & pasting 6 or more tracks at once (for instance, a perfect drum part on the second chorus being pasted over the first chorus)?
I've only dinked around with the N-track demo and I'm preparing to go with a full PC setup...featuring N-track as my software. I'm just really wondering how the editing process for you all goes.
I've also got the free download of Audacity which seems like a watered down sound forge. Can it edit more than just a stereo pair of tracks at once? Also, last night I was trying audacity and when I copied audio from one place & pasted it on the same track in another place, it didn't past over the existing audio. It just put the paste where my curser mark was, extending the song length by the paste amount. Very wierd. What did I do wrong?
Lastly, how about punch in/out? Manually I can see that happening, but what about those of us who primarily record by ourselves? Is there some way to program an auto punch in/out or hook up some sort of pedal?
Thanks
