Lost My Shadow (reggae/rock mix)

Hey guys,

I'm just wondering if anyone has a minute to check out this new little tune I've been screwing with.

I think the only notes on this are:

1. drums are drum machine. will be replaced by actual drummer at some point (shaker and tambourine are real)

2. empty middle area will have a guitar solo in it at some point as well.

Any suggestions/comments are welcome.

Sounds great. Nice bass work. Really pumping, you can feel it. My kind of reggae!

You might want to pan the guitar closer to the center. The guit off-beats are pretty key to reggae to be putting them off to the side like that.

I think the bass is a little too loud and upfront Robert - it booms and masks the rest of the mix. I'd say it needs dialing back a couple of notches. Other than that, it's great - really like how you've arranged the vocals.

So Robgreen, you're suggesting I turn it down as opposed to EQing out some of the low mids?
