I bought that MPXg2 and am very pleased with its sound and capabilities.
I bought an ART X15 midi foot controller to control it and that was a mistake. The buttons are to close together and it is difficult to just get to one without tripping the wrong one. Also they are black and on a dark stage it is impossible to know which is which.
Also the two expression pedals are on the left side and I am used to having my wah and volume control on the right of everthing else. The digital readout only goes up to 199 and there are 300 presets on the MPXG2. There are features on the G2 I either cant control with it or figuring out how to set up the control is difficult. Lexicon customer service is not alot of help with this, they just refer you to the manual and if you are not midi savvy it can be all greek.
I know some midi, using midi sequencers and my Alesis QS8 keyboard, but there is alot I dont know and the G2 has got so much shit in it the learning curve is on the large side.
I guess I will have to save up and buy the lexicon R1 controller for it, plug it in and voila, everything is set. I went to harmony central to read the reviews on the R1 and it wasnt very promising.
Everyone complained about bad switches breaking down and having to be replace, this problem may have been addressed though, I will have to look into it.
At over 350.00 a pop you think lexicon would have top of the line switches in it???
If I buy this pedal and am not satisfied I will sell the shit and go back to high end stomp boxes.

I love my X-15. But my feet are small... size 7. I think there is a way to tell the x-15 to add a certain amount to the program number... in other words add 100 to whatever value so that program 199 is 299. The other work around is to arrange patches within a certain range. I don't know what range the lexicon stores user patches, so maybe that's not an option.

Im often on a dimly lit stage and that X15 just doesnt cut it.
The lexicon stores the user presets in 250 to 300 but I think that could be changed also but theres no sense bothering because of the other problems I have mentioned with the X15

Hey Dragonworks,

Thanks for the review. The MPX G2 may compliment my TriAxis or PSA-1 nicely.

I personally use the DigiTech Control 8 as a MIDI foot pedal. It's good for some purposes and bad for others.

From the good standpoint, on stage, I never use more than three sounds per song. Since it has three easily accessible pedals, it works well for me. YMMV.

I just hate it when I accidentally hit two at the same time and send it into some weird mode...
