Hey all,

I've just started using CEP from CW's Guitar Studio, and I'm having trouble first off!!
Loading Wavs into CEP seem to be loosing time somewhere. More specifically, I create a full drum and bass track in Fruityloops. Then for mixing purposes, export the drums and bass seperatley. Then I load both and for some reason one of the tracks starts to loose time or go a wee bit faster or slower so as the song progesses it gets more and more out of time. By the end of a 4 min song its like a whole second off!!
It's something that I have never encountered in Guitar Studio, so I'm not sure. I have used the same tracks in both progs just to discount a corupt file. I've also made sure that I'm using all the same rates.

Thanks in advance..

Same Here

I got the same prob. I alsoo got it yesterday and it seems like a kewl program. but it cant keep time for shit. So here is what I did. I recorded the track i wanted in windows sound recorder and then import them to there. then you just line them up were they got to go. (right click and drag them left or right) and that was pritty kewl

how the hell are you suposed to do it normaly??

Well, I use fruity loops wave files all the time in Cool, and with no problems regarding timing.

When you export a fruity loops file, which bitrate are you selecting?

16 bit

I havnt tried anything but that, however I make sure and use all the same settings for both my drums and bass export.

I have downloaded the Demo of Cubase now too. I can' export both files from Fruity, open them up in Cubase and Guitar Studio, and they work perfect!? For some reason I do the very same thing in CEP and it acts psycho!!

Just as an experiment, try exporting a Fruity file as a wav at this bitrate:

32-bit float (0.24)

Then see what Cool does with that.

That was it!!

I'm not sure on the theory behind that but I'm guess I need to learn more about bitrates. I always thought that it was just quality and not anything else.

I'm still a little puzzled though as to why that was the only program that wouldn't run it at 16.!? Doesnt matter though, I appreciate the help dobro!!
