Loops and mix

can someone explain how to loop in cool edit. and another thing the equalizer in cool edit can i uses it as a proper mix down tool or shoud i run my instruments through a mixer first?

right click the track you wanna loop and go to the word loop and there are ya options...make sure you check the loop box
