We are a Christian band looking to record. Up front I will say we have some equipment for our live sound that we can use. We are using a A & H GL2800, direct outs on each ch. Have all mics needed,,A Macbook Pro laptop.that we will be using to record with LogicStuido. My question, what interface(s) would you suggest so we can record all 16 tracks at once through USB. We have the room(s) to isolate and to set-up.... Yes, we are new to all of this recording stuff, but are willing to learn and have fun in the process.. Thanks in advance to all

Alesis Multimix 16 USB 2.0 mixer will do 16 individual tracks at the same time. The mixer is not superb quality but it will get you by......
I'd investigate the use with Windows 7 as I'm not 100% sure it has drivers available... I used XP.... MAC is outside my experience.....

Thinking of getting 2 FireStudio projects. Macbook Pro has FW800 so a converter is needed. How well will this set-up work for us to record 16 tracks at once? Any issues with going from FW400 to FW800? Any suggestions?
