Looking for some feedback on this hardcore band's mix

I'm listening on WMplayer. My first impression is that the mix is harsh and thin. Then I see it...there's a deep vally centered at 250Hz on the graph bars of the player. So I do a little trog EQ:
+3db @125Hz; +6db @250Hz; +3db @500Hz.

Fixed it. That'll be $500. :^)

Turn down the guitars, give them more highs.
Turn vocals up.
Not sure about bass, I'm using my laptop speakers.

You could do some intense stereo mixing for stuff like the intro by having the rhythm come out on two tracks, panned fully L and fully R and slightly off-set while having the lead come out around 40% L or R. This'll add a lot of fullness and yeah, it'll probably be really fun to mess around with.

Nice drums, really sexy =P

Everything is too drowned with reverb. I really cant hear the vox. The guitars are too middy. The drums are too far away.

I am a newb and hate everything I mix, so take my comments with a grain of salt...

I feel like the each instrument is seperate from the others. There is no cohesiveness to the recording. The drums are far away, the guitars are separated. The vocals are buried.

It sounds like a decent rough mix that could be fixed up with a bit of tweaking. A great start.
