anyone in these states that can help me out with venue info or might let us open for you?

my music has been on mtv, abc, cbs, I've toured the east coast before and released two albums. I work for clear channel radio and media general.

Try contacting The Orange Peel, 101 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC (828)255-5851. They book both big name bands and indy and pay the best of any club in Asheville. Depending on the type of music you play, there are lots of clubs in western NC, and it's tourist season so there are plenty of gigs out there right now.
If you get any gigs in the Asheville/Hendersonville area let me know and I'll try to come to your show.

What kind of venues are you looking for? Do you have a fan base in those areas? What turnout do you expect? What other expectations/needs do you have?

Sorry, would love to help you but I don't live near there. However. . . . .

You know man, do some networking like on myspace, just searching local bands...just talk to them, ask them. You'd be suprised at how many bands would love to play with you. Get to know local promoters and make friends with them, schmooze with club owners. Friendships will carry you further than anything, including talent. You have the right friends and you are playing in all the best venues for huge acts. Just network, and promote, respect everyone and be a friend to all, it'll come, if you talk to enough gigging musicians, club owners, or promoters.
