Looking for Good VST Instruments

Does anyone know a good all around VST instrument or sound module set with good sounds like Piano, organ, Brass instruments, strings ect... I have been looking for a set of instruments without buying single ones, it's just too pricey.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like you want a sampler like Kontakt or Kompact.

I use Kontakt which comes with several piano, organ, guitar sounds and you can also download samples from several websites such as wizoo. It supports giga samples so your possibilities are almost unlimited.

Check out "Crystal" from Greenoak.

My mate showed it to me yesterday.

Does all kinds of whacky synthesis plus it take soundfonts as waveforms

Also check out the "group buy" they made on a Sonic synth 1 bundle, there's still a few days to join in on the deal, even if it's to late to make a better deal. If you want "a good all around VST instrument " the reviews seems to agree this is one of the best - if not the best. I have no personal experience (yet).

Please don't take this as spam. I'm a longtime member on HR and I didn't even post about the group buy while it was running as I was afraid it might be taken the wrong way. But considering the first post and ssscientist's I would have felt bad not to mention it now.
 
I use Sampletank 2, Sampletank 2 has got a load of neat sounds and it also lets you mess around with them, It gives you a hole load of fx for the instruments and allows you to sync loops with just one click! It is a bit pricy but it's worth it, there are 2 versions, one that comes with 500 instruments (pianos, drums, basses, guitars, strings,... e.t.c), wich is the cheep one, and one that comes with 1000 instruments which is a bit more pricy! but you can also buy more instruments later on if you want.
