First off.. looking at the Ibanez and see that the $300-$1500 look basically the same and hard to tell the diff.(on paper) Played some of the $400 versions...RG350, etc... and they're OK. Like the S series skinny bodies. But...not $any 1500 versions try at the store. Wizard necks kinda wide for this Strat guy.

I have a Dean V79 V I like pretty much... is this in the same ballpark?... as the $4-500 Ibanez, etc?
Admittedly playing Strats and Gibsons for 40 years... and thought a GOOD shredder...(without throwing away $$), would be better than a "mid life" sports car!
How can I find my way thru the maze of those two companies... not to mention the many others?
No options, but to travel 150 miles to the nearest store, to try them out... but would at least like to go with some knowledge first.
