How do you film this - Go Pro ? Do you sync to a time code then cut and past into something like Premiere? Sounds good though. Were these "live" performances in the videos (ie, the actual performance we were hearing). If so I noticed no earphones So i'm assuming you played along and monitored in real time? Is this what you did?

Hey DogsoverLava,

I filmed it with two Sony CX190/b camcorders recording at the same time, one front and the other off to the side. I sync it by matching the camera audio to the final mix audio (and then deleting the camera audio). All of it is live except for the two parts where I am playing the solo clean guitar (at the beginning and again in the middle) because I didn't play it cleanly enough to satisfy me. Those two parts are comped with parts of the live performance and other takes.

You are correct, I used the monitors and played along in real time. It worked fine since I was using software amps except for the end. My guitar pickups actually picked up the click track after the final chord of the song, as the volume of the chord was fading and got low. That surprised me, I re-recorded that part without the click track going.

I watched two videos. They look and sound great.
You keep things moving enough to maintain interest.

Thank you for not talking. The entire youtube community thanks you for not talking. :p

Lol! Yes, I can't stand it when a demo starts with anything other than the sound of whatever I am interested in. Well, at least within the first 10 seconds I should be hearing what I came for. I have the attention span of a squirrel though. I actually have not uttered one word in the 35 demos I have done so far. If I have something absolutely riveting to say at some point, I will, but not until then!

I'm glad you got what I meant there!
I use youtube a lot for gear reviews but there's nothing worse than some boffin babbling on for ten minutes about a volume knob.

I say keep doing what you're doing. Everything looked great. :)
