I really need to get an electric guitar. Do you guys know of any websites or companies that ship internationally to Germany? I know some of the bigger ones will only ship certain brands (usually very shitty ones). I would prefer to get it from a place where I can order some new cables, strings, etc. at the same time. Whenever I order something outside of Europe I have to pay high customs taxes and pick the damn thing up myself so I want to make it worth my while. Any suggestions?

No, they won't ship internationally. I'm thinking of going with Guitar Trader but I'm not really sure. They don't seem to have cables OR strings for sale. Huh?

These guys in vegas will ship anywhere. They've got some nice guitars right now. Many more than are on ebay. It's mostly vintage stuff, but that's where It's at. They'll help you with the other gear you need too.

www.turnkey.co.uk is now handling the web retail side of Soho Soundhouse's operation. They do great gear at reasonable prices. The shipping to Germany is 20.00 pounds sterling (which works out at about thirty euro) for any package up to 30 kilos. That should cover the guitar, strings and even an amp. Check it out, and good luck with your purchase.

What didn't you like about Thomann, Dr B? Do they not carry the brand or model you were looking for?

i've bought from both Thomann & Turnkey. Thomann good & cheap!,great company, but turnkey's customer service is amazing. Great bunch!

I hate to be a wiseass, but what's wrong with going down to a local music shop. They might have some good stuff on sale, maybe even a used guitar, and best of all, you get to check how it plays and sounds before you buy...

Maybe he lives in an alpine village and the single music store there sells only brass and accordians :D
