Hello,

I am looking to get a quality sound card that would be good for home recording of both vocals and guitar/piano as well as excellent playback quality. I'm looking to spend somewhere around $200 on the card and I just wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions for me. Any advice would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated. :)

As I always recommend for the thousands of posts with the same subject... m-audio fast track pro

Sound CARD - you want something that will be installed into the computer? Most folks would tell you get an external audio interface instead, that way when you change computers, you just unplug it from the old one, plug into the new one, download the current drivers and you're good to go.
You'll want an interface that has phantom power (to power condensor mics) and more inputs than you think you need right now (it's inevitable you'll want more in the future).

I have a dsp2000 c-port sound card for sale. it is in great working condition and has all the software. It is a PCI sound card and is very stable. It is a 10 x 10 in/out 24-bit/96kHz 100% Full-Duplex sound card. I just upgraded my whole recording setup so i just dont use it anymore. If you would be interested PM me. Im selling it cheap and am going to list it on eBay soon.
