looking for a receiver?

New member
to connect my tascam portastudio to but when I write in"receivers"or the like in the search engine at ebay I cant find any.Is there another thing I can write in that helps me find them?Or something else I should hook up the studio to that hooks up to speakers and gives me adequate sound at a cheap price?

When you use the word, "receiver," it suggests like a FM/AM stereo receiver.

However, if you want something that you can hook up two sets of speakers, two tape decks, Dat, CD, Phono, and have a couple of AUX inputs, check out the,

Yamaha AX592 integrated amplifier.

This is what I use in my studio because of its versatility. I can record from one deck to the other, or, record on both decks at once or run a CD background from the unit into my 2816 through the stereo can output. [can even use regular 1/4 inch plugs if you don't push the plug all the way into the can input.

The 592 can easily power two sets of speakers which is what I do.

This should give you some ideas. PS: The unit also has a "clear through" switch which eliminates any color for the Yam unit. Cool.

I've just bought the amp you're talking about too-from my uncle!!!I wont talk about how much I paid for it-dont want too many enemies here!LOL
