Phantom power is a no-no. Firstly because as the map shows, there are no "pickoff" resistors connected to pins 2 and 3 and then C1 is only rated at 25volts and I doubt that the FET "IC" has an onboard regulator.
9volts will in any case give a pretty healthy output. The big question is how much of the electret charge is still present?
That is a nice mic for a Realistic! Most of the stuff that came here under the Tandy banner was unmitigated crap!

Well, I only have the forum's information that the Sony circuit is in fact the same as the Realistic. Then it would be fairly easy to modify a mic to use phantom power....
Assuming a safe 20volt feed to the FET and the source at 1/2 supply, the spook feed resistors work out at a very handy preferred value of 22k each. Mind you, that is taking big liberties as to the characteristics of the FET "chip"! Some experimentation would be in order.
