Looking for a pro

Can anyone recommend a quality shop in the San Diego area that I could take my guitar to for a pro setup job?

I would suggest you ask Frank Ford, who can be email through his site (www.frets.com) or he moderates the acoustic guitar builders forum. He knows the California guitar community as well as anyone, and whould be able to recomend someone.

Kirk Sand is in Laguna - a little north of San Diego, but excellent work. (and custom guitars, too.)
 
Go straight to Buffalo Brothers Guitars off the Cannon road exit and 5 freeway. Head east towards the mountains about 2 miles and the road dead ends at Camino Real. Go left about 1/4 mile. On your left is an old nursery with a fiberglass chicken on the roof. Dats da place....

Best selection of guitars and knowledgable people South of LA.
