You know, it seems I've seen them cost around a $1kUS. I don't know where I might have seen that though.

Well I did a search and found this:

The Lomo 19A19 can be had for as little as 500.00 if you happen to be in Moscow. A good one is a fabulous sounding microphone, but watch out for the bad ones...they can really suck.

I just love how you can get a Russian made mic in a "Malibu Blue" finish... shouldn't it be more like "Bolshevik Blue" or something...
