Hello all..is there anyone who could shed some insight from personal experience in dealing with audio wiring in a new construction home studio.
This is a relativley small space overall of 16x32x8,with the control room planned for about 12x16 incorporating an undetermined as of yet space for a soundproof room;a drum room approx. 8x11 and a live room 12x16.
I planned a small island in the center about 3`square placed at an angle to the walls to allow four musicians to play while recording live along with drummer. It`s not a perfect setup ,but it`s what I got...
Trying to plan ahead...I would like to make session setup as easy as possible,
by having as many connections "hardwired" as I think I would ever need.
At the minimum there is going to be a bunch of cable....which I don`t want anywhere where it will be a problem.I have considered the walls, floor and ceiling, but am not sure which offers the least potential problems.
Also,I would be interested in finding a source that constucts custom cable runs and wires them to a panel for mounting to a wall or floor or at least part of the run.I have been searching the net and have yet to find all the elements I need. Is there a place out there which does this kind of work? thx cooker
