I have logic pro 9 which I downloaded from the app store with all the studio combinations. My laptop has main stage, my desktop version does not. My laptop version starts up different and some parts even look differently than the desktop version.
And yes, I'm not an idiot, they are the exact same versions. Now to get mainstage on my desktop I have to pay 29.99? It came on my laptop when I downloaded logic? I have all the other things logic studio comes with?
When it starts up for example, the laptop version and the desktop version when asking me what type of templete to use, looks totally different. Is this normal? There are a few differences between them and they were downloaded from the same account. I paid for it once and downloaded it on my laptop and then bought an imac just for recording and went and downloaded it again for free since it's on the same account as my laptop.
I do not want to reinstall because the studio I built is out in the country. There is no DSL or cable here. I get my internet via MIFI. I get 4G on AT&T and 3G on Verizon. Total I have 25GB a month. If I was to reinstall it would reinstall all those apple loops which would take my monthly allowance on my mifi's.
On my laptop I go other places, like my parents house to download large files. But with my iMac I don't. I may have to bring my iMac down to my parents house to download such large files if I have to reinstall.
Why does my laptop have the full logic pro 9 studio suite and my desktop only have logic pro 9 and apple loops? Is it supposed to be like that. Both are new macbook pro and iMac. They are both running lion. The only difference is my laptop is a dual core i5 with 8GB of ram. My desktop is a i5 quad core and came with 8GB of ram but I upgraded it to 16. Because if you buy the apple version that has 16GB they charge a thousand dollars and I did it for 65 dollars. And I didn't need the bigger hard drive as I use external had drives which are 1TB in size.
