Logic 5 vs. Sonar 2?

Both of these should be coming out soon - just wondering which you guys think would be a better one to learn and use?

I am currently using Cooledit - but...waiting to buy "real" software. Want to get something that i can be effective with - and that will give me the best results.

My main concern is audio, midi isn't such a big deal. i went to a logic 5 demo and I know it has way more MIDI than i would ever use.

Do you guys think the DAW you use has a significant difference on the audio quality you get in the end?

Have you tried Vegas? After having used it, I can't really get past how painful it is to use any other program.
 
if AUDIO is your main concern you need to go with NUENDO and nothing else...
logic 5 is out, its ok, i haven't got to sit down and use it for hours but it seems to ne nice, hard to learn though...
 
I have discovered that when someone uses a program and learn it well, it's difficult to switch to another due to the learning curve. So if someone uses Nuendo than its the best. If someone uses Cubase then its the best, and so on. If you are refering to Logic 5.0, the latest upgrade from emagic, it is a fine and very stable program but costly. Pick one and stick with it.
 
i find all programs easy to use. cakewalk programs and nuendo being the. logic is kinda easy once you use it for a few hours, but out of any other program i find logic to be the hardest. cubase, the first day i had it i ran a 5hr session.. it wasn't hard to learn at all.
 
Sonar 2.0 is supposeta ship april

For audio....i'd think Sonar would have to be top choice cuz it now has similar(maybe the same) abilities as acid wit waves wit the loopin and all that
