I recently did a singing session with a RODE NT1 and one of those $99 tube mic pre amps. I thought my vocals sounded dull and not lively, yet I was singing my heart out.
Any recommendations for a good, cheap recording mic that will have a more lively tonal response?
Also, what performance mic would you recommend for a really lively great treble response sound? I currently use an SM58 which is ok.
