Don't know if this is the right place for this question but...
I am looking for some live vocal effects. Nothing too crazy. I don't wanna sound like Cher. I just want maybe some delay, or reverb, just something to kinda thicken the vocals up a little bit. I just don't know what to look for. Would a preamp do the trick? Something like an Avalon M5? Anyone used one of those? Or should I look more for like some kind of pedal or something? Also, does mic make much difference? I am using an SM57 at the moment but I am kinda eying an SM86 or SM87. I would appreciate all the input ya got cuz I am pretty clueless about this type of stuff. 'Preciate it.
