Hi,
Just a question on stereo micing of a full band. My plan is getting a used MP20 for around 3 bills, some new Studio Projects C4s, and to run those straight into a Fostex c300 CD burner to record live band stuff. Later maybe dump to a 16-track for possible overdubs.
Question 1: How do you like the MP20/C4 combo for live micing? Suggest a better sub-$500 stereo mic pre?
Question 2: Will it suck to record straight to the CD burner? (don't know much about A/D converters.)
Question 3: Should I use gentle compression or limiting in the chain?
Thanks!
