The groupie distractions are what makes it all worth wild....But no there is nothing more that I hate than trying to concentrate on the show and my performance with someone yelling in my ear---ouch.

But there is a magic piece of equipment and that is my ears!

I must confess, I used to be the groupie distraction for the guitar techs on PJ concerts back in the days.... nothing came of it and it was then I realized that it was much cooler to play the guitar than just look at it...

At the time I thought being a guitar tech for PJ was the coolest job on earth. Today I think it is a very cushy position, but gets a bit sad to just tune guitars for rock stars and live in the shadow of someone else's success...

True, so true.... but your not looking far enough in the evening. All those groupies have to go through you to get to the talent.:D
Every position on the tech support end has it's ups and downs.
Running FOH position is probably the most rewarding of all tech support - well that and "quick change" in wardrobe ;).
