Recorded a few songs with my band last week. We did a live recording just to see how we were sounding and I was actually surprised at how well it sounded, considering we didn't use anything to minimize bleed! Used a M-Audio Ultra8R - 4 channels for drums, 2 for guitars, 1 for bass and 1 for a line-out from the PA.

Check it out and let me know what you guys think?

Cool, a little muddy but not bad for a live recording. The whole thing could be brighter, but I find myself saying that alot with things in here and I'm always listening on a laptop with earbuds.... so someone else's opinion could confirm or dispute that. The guitar seems a little washy.... probably because of the "live tone". Generally I think you'd want it a little spikier for this type of 90s/No Doubt inspired radio alt-rock.

I mostly agree with fat fleet. Sounds overly boomy to me.

You're right it is a pretty decent sound for live. Brighten up the drums (not cymbals) and vocals a bit. The balance and panning is good. Tight playing, cool stuff....:D:D:D:D

Not bad at all for live off the floor...the snare is pretty low in the mix tho..great band!
