Hey hey,

I am primarily a guitarist, who has played a keyboard off and on, though I have never taken the time to learn everything that is available to someone who plays one.

Now, I am able to get some gigs as a "one-man band". I have a Yamaha PSR-510, with great drum kits and sweet piano and would like to use it as my "band". What do I need to get to record a song programmed on the keyboard for later use in a show.

The keyboard has four pages, which allows me to have four songs ready in it's memory. But I need more and am wondering if there is a device that will allow me to load songs from it, into the keyboard.

Is this what is known as a sequencer?(like I said, I am not up on the terms) Some basic help on terminology would help also. hehehe
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Carl

As I suspected...

K, thanks, that is what I thought but wasn't sure. Now another question:

Any suggestions on the best stand alone out there? I was looking at the Roland MC-80, probably a good one, huh?

Thanks Again

you wont be able to load parts into the 510's 6 track sequencer though. the sequencer will transmit the 16 parts to it, live. get me? it wont load the individual parts in to the 510's sequencer. however, you will be able to add more parts to your songs with a sequencer. yeah, mc80 should do the trick. there's some yamaha sequencers out there too.
