files will be posted

I just heard back from KeneticSound and I should have the files uploaded to his FTP by tomorrow night. I'll keep you updated. :D

I am listening right now, much much better so far.
As for the sound of the acoustic, I like it. sounds very natural, not muddied or effected sounding.
drum balance could use some help. Kick is nearly non-exsistant.
hi-hat is loud in comparison to the rest of the kit.

Overall, big improvement.

Thanks JCM,

Glad to hear that I made an improvement. I'm going to post the tracks on another member's FTP for all to mess with. We'll see how they come out.

I'm very experiencede with this kind of praise an worship tracks and I'd love to mix it for you let me know.

update on track files

An Update...

I was planning on uploading the files yesterday, but ended up practicing until 10pm and had to be back at work at 3am. I will get them uploaded today. I didn't get to retrack the drums either, because our drumer had two tests today and needed to study. I know, I know, I tried to tell him that studying is overrated, but he wouldn't listen. :D

Anyway, hang in there...the files will be up today. :)

BTW, what's a good way to compress files? Using winzip or winrar or something like that?

Either should be fine...so long as you are zipping down the .wav files. WinRAR has the ability to zip at a "Slowest" speed if concerned. Since it is a live recording this may already apply, but make sure all the wav files start at 0:00 so people can just import them into whatever DAW they happen to use. Also, probably best to post it as a .ZIP file...just in case there are people who aren't using WinRAR. :)

aaarrrrggggggg

:mad::mad:I'm getting really irritated trying to upload these files. How long should it take? The size is 258 MB. Should I upload each file seperately or all together? What's a decent upload speed?

I had some issues uploading to the host too. I had to use Internet Explorer (instead of Firefox) and initiate the upload and walk away from the PC for awhile. If I did stuff while it was uploading, it seemed to glitch out...especially when I switched to any other window (sounds superstitious, I know). My files were less than 1/2 the size of yours...and the progress bar took around 8min to complete. But then there was around 10min of it spinning after that before they finally popped through.

If you can swing it, perhaps set it to upload right before you go to bed? :p

Expect it to take at least an hour... be patient, man. As soon as it is it is uploaded we can all try the mix.

hallelujah!!!!!

The files are now on Kinetic Sounds server.:D:D:D Here's a link to the thread that explains the instructions and rules. https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=277984 I will make a post in that thread also, but it will reference back to this thread to keep from having the same topic in two threads.

I know that the drums are not recorded very well and I am planning on retracking them. I also left out the backing vocals because (honestly) they sucked pretty bad. If you want backing vocals, I will retrack them.

A few rules...
1. Feel free to add your own electric guitar and/or piano to the arrangement, but that should be it.
2. Most importantly, I need constructive feedback on the raw tracks.

Thanks for your patience. Let me know if there are any problems or if you need anything else.

Thanks,
