As the title says, first time recording a band live...all you guys that are way better could you give pointers and tips on how to get better?

Excellent.

My biggest complaint is that it sounds too mono. Apparently when the pro’s do “live” Albums, they spend some time “fixing” them in the studio. Don’t be afraid to use a few mastering tricks to re-create/simulate some of the “live space” that would have existed live anyway.

Well, you set the bar kind of high in the OP as far as who should comment, but I'll take a stab anyway :).

Sounds pretty good to me, especially for a 1st attempt. Yes, a little too centered maybe, but not sure you have enough tracks to spread things out too much though? Probably some tricks you could employ anyway to give it more of a sense of space.

I thought it was a bit crowded in the low end and could be cleaned up down there possibly. I also found it a bit dry for a live recording. Maybe some (additional?) reverb.

I think the vocals could come up and the vocal level could be more consistent. Overall pretty good though man.

thanks buddy i appreciate the feedback. Yeah i tried a bit of volume automation on the vocals cause the guy had pretty shocking technique in terms of the volume he was was projecting but hey ho lol.
